The equine superstar will be seeking a seventeenth-consecutive race win when she takes her place in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes field and is currently available at $1.09 in betting markets for the feature race at Ladbrokes.com.au.

Winx returned to the paddock after she posted a dominant win in the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m) in October last year, before resuming this time to win the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m) with complete ease.

Progressing to success in the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m), the daughter of Street Cry was last seen posting a near-eight length win over talented company in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) three weeks ago.

There is every chance that Winx will only improve over 2000m in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, particularly from the ideal barrier 3 and with Hugh Bowman in the saddle.

No other runner is currently available at Queen Elizabeth Stakes odds of less-than $10 and Hartnell figures as the sole occupant of the second line at an $11 quote.

Hartnell returned to racing in career-best form in spring; running second to Winx in the Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1400m) first-up in August, the Authorized gelding posted consecutive and dominant wins in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m), Group 2 Hill Stakes (2000m) and Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m).

Second again to Winx in the Cox Plate, Hartnell returned to the paddock after finishing third in the Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) and picked up where he left off when resuming for second in the Apollo Stakes.

Failing to fire in the Chipping Norton Stakes, Hartnell worked to the line well to finish second in the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes (2000m) last time out and should enjoy a second attempt at 2000m, with James Doyle returning to the saddle.

The United States ran second in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes in 2016 and is currently considered a $17 third-favourite to go one better on Saturday.

Resuming this time to finish third in the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (1800m), The United States failed to produce much in the final straight at Flemington before finishing fifth in the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m), but also improved when third in the Ranvet Stakes last time out.

Doncaster Mile placegetters Happy Clapper ($19) and Sense Of Occasion ($81) have both been confirmed to back-up on Saturday and represent terrific value in Queen Elizabeth Stakes betting markets.
